What the SAFET Conference Is All About
The Seafood and Fisheries Emerging Technologies (SAFET) Conference was launched by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) in 2014 with a vision to explore and discover the potential of emerging, and potentially disruptive, technologies to improve the conservation and management of our world';s fisheries and the traceability of the seafood supply chain. At its last meeting in Bangkok Thailand in 2019, the SAFET conference hosted 250 participants from 40 countries and over 20 exhibition booths.
This year, WWF has joined forces with Environmental Defense Fund’s (EDF) Oceans program to bring you the 2020-21 SAFET virtual conference. From drones to cameras and satellites to artificial intelligence, this forum is designed to explore cutting-edge technologies that can be applied to deliver better fishery outcomes and improved seafood traceability. We sincerely appreciate having all of you as part of this virtual conference series!
